October Quiet Book Class

Date: Thursday Oct. 8th

Time: 3 pm - 8 pm

Place: My Home

2 Reverence Book Pages

"Temple Time"

Let's dress up! Come and create these 

2 Temple Time pages and make bride and groom

 paper dolls using my stencils/patterns and scrap 

booking paper (or bring your own) for clothing.

 Dolls and clothing can be laminated for durability.

 Optional: add additional clothing. Teach the importance 

of eternal families. Ideas: print temples, mazes, word search 

etc... from "The Friend". Purchase temple cards or 

print the ones from "The Friend" (where you live) and cut into 

puzzle pieces. I will have samples. Storage pockets in

 between pages for dolls and optional teaching materials.

Match up 12 face clocks to their time and/or colors. I have added buttons 

for the flowers and craft floss for the blossoms on the trees/bushes.

November Quiet Book Class

These are fun pages! Teach your child 18 different Bible

 and Book of Mormon stories by matching 18 tags to

 fabric pockets. These are a must see to believe reverence book pages!

 18 great FHE lessons for families with young and older children.

Jacob, Enos, Jarom, Omni....". Sing along to the tune 

"10 Little Indians" and learn/teach the books in the 

Book of Mormon in order. 15 removable colored card stock pieces

 to match up to stories on the pages. Color match up for younger children.

 Come and learn how to make storage pockets in between 

the pages for other Book of Mormon activities from "The Friend".

Quiet Book Class February 19th 2015

NEW IDEA - FABRIC "BOOK OF MORMON" 

OR "BIBLE" BOARD STORIES

I will instruct you how to make a board
 story that folds (tri-fold) and stores inside
 my Quiet Book pages. 
So come and create with our fun group of ladies!

Or work on other pages. I will also instruct on "getting started".

This board story (flannel board) is very durable. 

The inside is made of plastic instead of card board.

 The class fee will include the plastic and printed temple.

Bring your own fabrics/materials or purchase mine.

There are three board pieces that a child can lace up.

Two shoes laces connect the pieces by lacing up and then down.

Print your own scripture Book of Mormon or Bible figures

 (onto card stock) at lds.org "The Friend" magazine.

Reduce figures to about 65%.

On the back side of figures, glue different 

colors/styles of scrap booking paper, so that you can

 separate the different stories. Add sticky loop velcro to the

 back sides of each figure. I typed up the stories and printed 

them onto the scrap booking paper, then 

glued to the back sides of figures.

Each of these covers are for sale and are one of a kind!

These first two animal covers are made from the same coordinating fabrics. This first one has matching oval and handles. Round and cute monkey buttons also. Each cover front oval has plastic sewn over it, to keep the white printed pellon clean and to prevent a child pulling the buttons off.

This cover has been made with four coordinating fabrics. Three strips for the front and back of the cover (blue, animal, and yellow fabrics). The brown oval matches the inside of the cover. Again monkey buttons and small dots with fabric markers.

It's always fun to create a little girl cover! Princess covers are my favorite. I like to make each one different. Make yours original using newly designed fabrics or fabrics that you've been holding on to for years. It's new because your made it UNIQUE!   

I have had this fabric for several years, but just recently found these cute princess buttons. 

For something different use two coordinating oval fabrics. I like girly things, so add some rick-rack also. With this same fabric your can also iron wonder-under onto the backsides of the yellow crown and lavender tiara, cut them out and iron them on instead of buttons. Add sparkly buttons!

This cover does not have a printed pellon oval. It's a nice change just to have coordinating fabrics at the center of the front cover. Again these are fabrics that I purchased several years ago. I just added rick-rack and sparkly buttons.

When I purchased this fabric, I also purchased the coordinating princess panel. I just ironed wonder-under onto the back side of the princess, cut out and ironed onto the yellow fabric. I have added sparkly buttons including onto the top of the princess wand!
